Equality & Diversity

Chambers has a strong commitment to equal opportunities practices and procedures.

We will not discriminate on grounds of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion or disability when deciding whether to accept instructions from clients, recruiting personnel or in the provision of services in general.  The Chambers provides its services for the general community and not for any discrete client group which might be interpreted as discriminatory.

In line with the Code of Conduct, the data we collect on our chambers is available (in anonymised form) by clicking here.

We are committed to providing equal treatment and opportunities to all job applicants, personnel, tenants and pupils in the chambers in accordance with the guidance issued by the Bar Council & Bar Standards Board. The Management Committee monitors developments and changes in legislation/best practice in this area and amends our procedures and policies in respect of equal opportunities accordingly. Should you become aware of any issue or concern in this area, please bring it to the attention of the Senior Clerk immediately, either by telephone or email (alee@25bedfordrow.com).

Email Communications

Our email communication policy can be viewed by clicking here. Please note that emails received outside of normal chambers opening hours may not be read or responded to until the next opening day.

Facilities for those with disabilities

Some areas of our building may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. We are always prepared to visit clients (lay or professional) at an alternative venue, suitable for their individual requirements, and can also make arrangements for more appropriate venues located near to our offices if required. Please feel free to contact our Administration Manager, Varuna Askoolum, if you would like to check any facilities or discuss any particular needs before attending chambers.

Car parking

There are no chambers designated parking spaces on Bedford Row, but metered parking is available and is chargeable from 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Camden Council charge £1.20 per 20 minute period. If you wish to park for more than 2 hours, it may be more cost effective to use the public car park located on Southampton Row, adjacent to the Bedford Hotel. This car park is approximately 10 minutes walk from chambers and details can be found on the NCP website (www.ncp.co.uk).

The clerks room are the backbone of chambers. They are without doubt second-to-none. They never let you down.
