On 8 September 2017 the Government published an independent review into the treatment of, and outcomes for, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic individuals in the Criminal Justice System. The report concludes that BAME individuals still face bias, including overt discrimination, and makes a number of recommendations which must be implemented.

Following an introduction by David Lammy MPGreg Foxsmith will chair a panel of guest speakers including Sandra Paul, Partner in the Criminal Department of Kingsley Napley LLP, Courtenay Griffiths QC of 25 Bedford Row and Judy Khan QC of Garden Court Chambers who will be discussing their interpretations of the Lammy Review and how we as solicitors and barristers working in criminal law can help to achieve #ColourBlindJustice

2 Hare Court are hosting this event and the reception is sponsored by a small number of chambers and solicitors firms including ourselves, with a commitment to BAME issues.
Sources agree that “old favourite” 25 Bedford Row is incredibly “user-friendly” and “strong across the board.
