Nicholas is a tenacious advocate, with a busy practice in serious crime, handling complex cases.

Nicholas has experience in dealing with all aspects of crime, from cases involving murder, serious violence, firearms and weapons; sexual offences, drug dealing, white-collar crime; through to technical driving offences.

He has a growing practice in serious crime, and has been involved in a number of multi-handed conspiracies. Current instructions include a drug dealing operation involving transportation of multiple kilogram ‘bricks’ of cocaine and an armed gang-related burglary resulting in kidnap/torture.

Nicholas also has a keen interest in legal argument in developing or under-developed areas of the law and has advised clients on the use of police powers to compel suspects to provide their mobile telephone PIN codes. 

He has also appeared at an inquest before the Coroner’s Court, and has a wealth of experience in representing vulnerable young people at all stages, including in the Youth Court.
