Dorothy Richardson
Dorothy began her First Six pupillage in October 2026 under the supervision of Alex Di Francesco.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Dorothy acted as an Appropriate Adult for Southwark Council. In this role, she supported vulnerable people detained in police custody, including children and individuals with disabilities or complex mental health needs. She helped safeguard their rights under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE), including during interviews and searches.
Dorothy volunteered for Hestia’s Domestic Abuse Referral Line, supporting women and children seeking refuge. Her responsibilities included completing initial triage and risk assessments to evaluate eligibility and suitability for refuge accommodation.
At City Law School, Dorothy volunteered with the Innocence Project and the School Exclusion Project. In June 2026, she represented Inner Temple at the International Criminal Court Moot Competition in The Hague.
Before converting to law, Dorothy studied Geography at the University of Oxford, where she was awarded the JCA Meldrum Fieldwork Prize for the highest-scoring report in the cohort.
