Michael Neofytou secures not guilty verdict for a senior criminal caseworker who was indicted with a 6 month conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
It was alleged that the defendant, who worked for a leading London firm, had abused his position to pass information to the head of a Manchester based organised crime group so as to frustrate the police’s attempt to investigate, arrest and prosecute him for drugs and related offences. After a 2 week trial and 2 days of deliberation at Manchester Crown Court, the jury returned a unanimous Not Guilty verdict. Michael was instructed by Nadeem Majid of M & M solicitors.
