Geoffrey Payne and Sushil Kumar in Leading Case that Changes the Law on Dishonesty

Geoffrey Payne and Sushil Kumar, instructed by JD Spicer Zeb Solicitors, appear in the leading case of Barton and Booth [2020] EWCA Crim 575, which changes the criminal law test for dishonesty.

The Court of Appeal has today confirmed that the test for dishonesty in the criminal law is that in Ivey v Genting Casinos [2017] UKSC 67. The longstanding test in Ghosh [1982] QC 1053 has been overruled.
