Jo Sidhu QC speaks about the need for Government investment in the Justice System

Following the Lord Chief Justice’s press conference on 23 November, where he warned that the justice system is in dire need of more resources in order to clear the backlog of cases in the courts, Jo Sidhu QC spoke to the PM programme on BBC Radio 4 about the current state of the justice system. 

In his interview, Mr Sidhu explains why further investment from the Government is essential in order to clear the backlog, which is currently around 60,000 cases in the Crown Courts.
