London in 2013: Powder Keg or Melting Pot?

On 22 October Jo Sidhu QC chaired a debate with the Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan Howe. The event billed as "London in 2013: Powder Keg or Melting Pot?" was organised by the Society of Asian Lawyers and covered a range of issues concerning the challenges of policing the capital.

Sir Bernard fielded tough questions from the floor including from leading members of chambers Peter Doyle QC and Colin Wells. The Commissioner expressed candid views on his priorities over the coming years including the need to ensure that the Met was increasingly representative of the city's diverse communities.
