Clerks & Administration Team

Our fully committed, professional and experienced team of clerks and administrative staff has been assembled by our long serving senior clerk Guy Williams to ensure the highest quality of service is delivered to clients.

Chambers maintains the high standards which enabled us to become the first chambers in the UK to be granted the Bar Mark - an initiative that was proposed by the Bar Council and awarded by the British Standards Institute. We are re-assessed regularly to ensure that the levels of service and client care we provide comply with the International Standard for Quality Management Systems [ISO 9000]

We pride ourselves on maintaining good staff relations and the continuity of employment demonstrates our success: our senior clerk, Guy has been with Chambers since 1983 and was appointed to his present post in 1998., He is supported by Stephen Lucas who joined chambers in 1989 and Emma Makepeace who has over 15 years experience and who also plays a key role within the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks’. We believe their accumulated experience is one of our great strengths.

The clerking team also includes John Carson, Nicola Harrison and Christopher Jones.

Our Administrator Jacky Chase, who joined chambers 1998, is your contact for all non clerking matters and has responsibility for the management of chambers fee collection systems. Fee queries can be dealt with by David Kirton.
