MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION

Chambers maintains the high standards that enabled us to become the first chambers in the UK to be granted the BarMark - an initiative that was proposed by the Bar Council and awarded by the British Standards Institute. We are re-assessed regularly to ensure that the levels of service and client care we provide comply with the International Standard for Quality Management Systems.

Clerking

Our team is hand-picked and led by the experienced and well-regarded Guy Williams, who has been with Chambers since 1983. Guy is supported by Emma Makepeace who has over 18 years’ experience of clerking and who is an executive officer of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks. The clerks at 25 Bedford Row are committed to the consistent provision of a high-quality service based on their extensive knowledge and experience of

  • matching the right advocate to the individual case
  • competitive fee negotiation
  • the importance of continuity of representation
  • the development of successful business relationships with our clients

Guy and Emma are assisted by John Carson, Nicola Harrison, Chris Jones and Christopher Rowe.

We operate an out of hours emergency clerking service, please contact either:
